About me

Alhamdulillah I'm a mother of many. Grandma to one. A European convert (1997) I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures who are seeking Islamic solutions amongst the complexities of our (extra)ordinary human lives.

Training, qualifications & experience

I've completed courses in counselling with OCN, CPCAB, the Open University and am a current student of an Islamic Professional Counselling Skills Programme.

A Classical homeopath through the International Academy of Classical Homeopaths (IACH), I have continued my professional development with the likes of Erik Van Woensel & the Centre for Homeopathic Education (CHE). 

I'm a qualified childbirth educator, birth and postnatal doula, having received my training & certifications from various organisations which include: Paramana Doula, AMANI Birth, the Nafsa Project School and the Center for Sacred Window Studies. I volunteered for years as a Breastfeeding Counsellor with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers (ABM), followed by La Leche League (LLL). I have offered support to mothers on national breastfeeding helplines and facilitated face-to-face support groups. I have also attended various CPD with holistic experts in midwifery such as Dr. Sara Wickham.

Alongside my work as a counsellor and alternative medicine & birth practitioner, I'm a qualified chaplain through the Markfield Institute of Higher Education (MIHE). I have chaplaincy experience working in college, community groups, hospital and hospice, offering end of life spiritual care and support across a broad range of other needs.

Counselling is available both separately and in combination with homeopathic support.
